ARC is scheduled to launch a new storybook for children “The Sneaky Snare of the Syrupy Slurp Slops” which encourages children to “Re-think their drink”. This is the second storybook from ARC’s HEAL series – promoting Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyles for Children. The book will be launched by Dr Abdulla Niyaf, renowned pediatrician in the Maldives. The event, which will also include fun and educational games, will be held on Friday 11th April 2014 from 4.30- 6.00pm at the Raalhugandu Helipad Area. In 2013, the first storybook ‘The Colourful Companionship of Casey Cabbage” has received Best Children’s Book in Maldives and Best Charity and Fund Raising Book – Asia, by Europe’s Gourmand Awards. The book has now been selected to compete in the same categories for The Best in the World awards, will be announced in May 2014. The two storybooks will be available for Mrf 30/- and a total discount of Rf 10/- will be provided at the event, if both books are purchased together. 100 per cent of funds raised through these storybooks will go towards sustaining the HEAL Campaign.
